NAMM show, here I come!

I’m headed off to sunny California for a couple of days in order to attend the NAMM show.  NAMM stands for “National Association of Music Merchants”.  Paige’s Music’s owner, Mark Goff, just finished his tenure as President of the organization – a tremendous honor and responsibility. My purpose for attending the who is primarily continuing education – making sure that I am fully up-to-date on the violin-family products offered in the marketplace.  It is also an opportunity for me to give direct feedback to the workshops who supply us with instruments, bows, and accessories.  Many smaller workshops exhibit at NAMM in hopes of gaining traction in the marketplace.  The show is HUGE and large manufacturers often set up enormous displays to show their products.  My schedule is already booked full of meetings and events…I just hope I have enough time to see all the new products!
