As I was trying out one of our new “small room” violas today, I decided to test out different bows along with it. What I noticed is that I preferred a Carbon Fiber bow over a Pernambuco bow with this particular instrument which isn’t always the case with other instruments. Not only did I notice a difference in how it sounded, but also how it felt. Every player is going to have a different preference when it comes to how a bow sounds and feels with his or her specific instrument.
